MES RUBY JUBILEE YOUTH FESTIVAL ENTHRALLS THE AUDIENCE
MES Indian School’s three day annual cultural extravaganza Ruby Jubilee Youth Festival titled ‘Regalia 2014’ concluded with a scintillating Valedictory function with a number of activities showcasing students’ talents held at the open air auditorium of the school recently.

“MES Indian School equips its students to be multi-talented and multi artistic to face the challenges of the world through academic excellence and co-curricular activities”, observed Dinesh Udenia, First Secretary, Press & Education, Embassy of India to Qatar, the Chief Guest of the day.

“Find your passion and pursue it throughout your life. Trust in yourself and face every obstacle with a strong will and determination to bloom into a balanced personality’’, remarked Chandrasekharan, CFO, Musherib Properties (Qatar Foundation), Guest of honor, on the occasion.

“Education refines and modifies the life and personality, it is not just an act of learning alone”, said V.V. Mahmood, President, MES Governing Board in his felicitation.

“The speck of genius is present in every human mind and it is here the noble deed of igniting the spark that MES volunteers. When this initial spark is ignited, then it kindles the curiosity and creativity and lays a cogent platform for each of you to effectuate your dreams”, extolled  K.P. Abdul Azeez, General Secretary, MES Governing Board on the occasion.

Abdul Gafoor, Director, Event Management, Hazmal Ismail, Director, Cultural & Co-curricular Activities, MES Governing Board, members of the MES governing body, Vice Principals & Heads of Sections and a galaxy of dignitaries, school officials, parents, teachers and students attended the function. 

“This annual gala of the school is aimed at nurturing the innate interest and ability of the students to devote their talents and gifts to the accomplishment of their dreams and to the benefits of others in the world of innovations”, remarked A.P. Sasidharan, Principal during the function.

The cultural fiesta commenced with a multi lingual dance which projected Indian and Arab culture, tradition and heritage. The 3 day cultural performance comprised a mass display of competitions in different music categories, (light, classical & instrumental individual and group formats), folk dance, classical dance, kathak, kuchupudy, mono act, fancy dress, painting contest depicting art and culture and various other literary and cultural activities were held, in the senior, intermediate, junior and sub junior categories.

The competitions were conducted in the morning and evening which galvanized the whole school during these days, with the enthusiastic and vibrant spirit of competition among the talented youngsters. The competitions were also held in Adhan, Hifz and Tajweed. There were as many as 3500 student entries for various categories of the competition held at around 76 venues.
