MES Indian School marked Kerala Piravi Day commemorating the occasion of the 56thanniversary of the state formation in the KG Auditorium of the school recently. All the sections of the school actively participated in the celebration. The department of Malayalam organised a variety cultural show to mark the occasion. 

V.K. Abdul Rahman, Director, Security, Discipline & Hygiene, MES Indian School, Chief Guest of the day inaugurated the Kerala Piravi Celebrations. A.P. Sasidharan, Principal, while addressing the gathering lauded the efforts of the students and appealed to them to imbibe the spirit of culture, tradition and brotherhood among  the fellow beings. 

Vice-Principals and Heads of Sections, Head of Academic Inspection, teachers and students attended the function. 

The students excitedly took part in the Pookkalam and staged different traditional dances, skit, poem recitation, mono act and quiz competition, representing the rich cultural background of Kerala. Students dressed up in traditional costumes of Kerala enthusiastically participated in the programme with wonderful exhibits related to Malayalam literature as well as the scenic beauty of the state. 

Mohd. Irfan, Head Boy welcomed the gathering, while Shruthy Siva Das proposed the vote of thanks. Srikumar Ravindra Kumar and Nidhi Radhakrishan compered the programme. Abdul Salam and Geetha Sooryan, Heads, Department of Malayalam, organised the events.
